Born on 24th 1981 in Kabul to a Punjabi Indian Army Officer father and an afghan Child Psychologist mother, Celina Jaitley is a younger sibling to herparents. Heading to glamorous world was not intentional and like many others of her ilk, she has different plans in life and even thought of joining army, either as a doctor or a pilot.
But destiny willed otherwise and she now shines in the skyline of glamorous world and has joined the band of India’s ever growing list of defense personnel’s daughters who made it big in beauty pageants and then entered the film world.
During her school days, she has to move frequently from one place to other because of her fathers posting and she changed 13 schools altogether until she appeared for board exams. She studied commerce in college and then she fetched a marketing job for a Cell phone company in Kolkatta. Though she was not so serious about winning the contest, she just participated for the heck of participation but surprisingly come out winning the contest. This opened up new avenues in glamorous world and soon she walked away with the coveted, Miss India crown (2001) bagging almost every title from Best Skin to Best Clothes to MTVs most wanted.
A German man made obscene gestures at Celina Jaitley in a Mumbai hotel only to repent later.
Celina had a horrible experience recently when she went to the sports lounge of a posh Mumbai hotel with a friend of hers. A middle-aged German man spotted her and began making vulgar gestures at her.
Even when Celina ignored him, the man did not go away. He came to her and told her in elaborate detail in German what all he would want to do with her. Sadly, the guy did not know that Celina knows German.
Celina complained to the hotel authorities about the man but they did not take any action. Celina left the hotel dejectedly but came back the next day with cops. This time when she confronted the lewd German, he was apologetic and begged her to forgive him for the sake of his wife and kids back home.
Reportedly, Celina did not relent easily. She made him write an apology letter but did not press charged against him because of his kids and family.
But what disappointed Celina the most is that the hotel authorities showed no co-operation to help her deal with the lecher.
